I just got some B&W 805 4Ds. Previously had some 14 gauge audioquest speaker cable to my front 3 channels…However moving from my 703S2s to book shelfs the cable they were now too short and were hanging from the amp to the speaker….normally I would say bi-wire isn't worth it…however when you have a elite level speaker like the 8 series B&W speakers, and look at the back terminals you can tell the are built for bi-wire. So what I did was take my Audioquest cables, two of them together and made a bi wire cable for my center B&W HTM71S2. I then got these cables in, and you can tell they are quality cables. From the packaging to the construction. Cables are marked for highs and lows. The Banana plugs are the most secure I have ever used….it takes some pressure to get them in and out…they aren't accidently going to slide out like some other plugs I've used…and the sound well…to my ear compared to the audioquest, which was not bi wired..there is a noticeable improvement…It sounds more full, bass is much improved and seemed to be a slight increase in detail. I would say if you have some high/elite level speakers these wires are well worth the price. I'll be upgrading my center channel to an 8 series matching center down the road and will be getting another one for that when that time comes.
