1. Do I need a driver to make this TobenONE USB C docking station triple monitor work?

Yes, this docking station 3 monitors requires downloading and installing a DisplayLink driver before use. NOTE: for macOS, Please follow these steps: Privacy & Security > Screen Recording > Allow “DisplayLink manager” to join in.

2. Why does this TobenONE USB C dock for MacBook need to record the laptop screen?

For macOS, the DisplayLink technology require screen recording permission to display the screen. But the DisplayLink app doesn’t store/record any screen content. It only uses screen recording functionality to enable seamless extended display support.

3. For macOS, does this docking station 3 display cannot play any streaming platforms(Netflix, Udemy, etc)?

Yes, for macOS, the DisplayLink technology requires screen recording permission to display the screen. Since the screen is recording, you cannot watch any HDCP content(Netflix/Prime/ iTunes/Hulu…), the screen will be black.

4. Will this TobenONE USB-C docking station with power delivery support 4 monitors for Windows? All in 4K@60Hz?

For Windows, this dock support 4 external monitors. To achieve Quad 4K@60Hz, the monitor and cable connecting to the dock must support 4K@60Hz resolution and refresh rate. The laptop must adopt the 12th Generation Intel Core Processor series.

5. My dock stop working, what should I do?

Disconnect all cables and then reconnect them. Display 1 and Display 2 are driver-based, so please download the latest drivers. HDMI 3 and DP 3 are plug-and-play. Make sure that the laptop’s USB-C port supports display functionality.
