It's a fine board. It feels nice under my knife blade. It's a good size. I didn't realize there was a groove on both sides. The meat juice groove is fine, but the other side of the board has a groove that reminds me of the pencil groove on a school desk. I'm not sure how useful it is. I was thinking it was just a flat side, when I purchased it. Oh well….minor point, really. I think it's a pretty board…it functions well, cleans easily….great value

I was told to get an end grain board because they were more durable and would last even longer than my previous one (6 years). I've owned this heavy as hell cutting board for a few months and it's already showing more signs of wear than my other one.
I love the weight, I love that it is double sided based on your needs – but it's honestly not that great in quality.
